JoElla Manning
Share:
JoElla began her pine needle coiling adventures in 2013 while living on a sailboat in Marathon, Florida. Every Thursday was basket making day where she learned the joys of coiling and the camaraderie of basketmakers with a dozen cruising basketmakers. Exploring and developing the craft of open and closed coiling has since led JoElla into teaching, exhibiting, and selling her basket creations. Functional and beautiful, purposeful while meditative, coiling is contentment. The love of teaching is apparent in JoElla's encouraging and attentive approach to each student. She is a member of the Art Guild of Orange Park, FL, the National Gourd Society, and the National Basketry Organization.
