Suzanne is a North Carolina native with a lifelong interest in our natural environment, cultural history, and early technologies. A living-history interpreter and researcher for over 30 years, she currently serves as director of 18th-century Backcountry Lifeways Studies at the Schiele Museum in Gastonia, NC. There she offers a variety of hands-on workshops and educational programs devoted to a deeper understanding of Carolina backcountry history and heritage.
