Otto Preske
Otto , an award-winning woodcarver, was introduced to carving when he was 14 years old. Later, while in the Navy, he received his first commission carving Squadron plaques. He worked as a commercial artist and was taught how to use woodcarving tools by a master woodcarver from Portugal. Since 1976, Otto has had a woodcarving studio/gallery in the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community in Gatlinburg, TN. His hand-carved fireplace mantels grace homes nationwide, and even in Europe. He enjoys meeting people from all over the world.
