Mary Lou began quilting in 1970, and teaching in 1988. After making many traditional quilts, she went back to her art background and began creating story quilts that told about people, places, and things she loved. She has written five books on story quilts and many booklets on techniques, designed dozens of patterns, and created fabric for the past 15 years using her happy, colorful whimsy as a base. Mary Lou agrees with Twain when he said, "Those that are happy make others happy, too." Visit MaryLouWeidman@blogspot.com or her website for more information.
