Zan received her MFA in ceramics at the University of North Texas in 2014, and is a member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild, Piedmont Craftsmen, and Carolina Designer Craftsmen. She is a studio potter at Riverwood Pottery in Dillsboro, North Carolina, and teaches and demonstrates throughout western North Carolina.
