Bill is a ceramic artist and instructor serving as pottery studio chair of the Oak Ridge Art Center in Tennessee. He earned a BFA and MFA from East Tennessee State University, concentrating in ceramics and printing processes. He has received many awards, but his reward is simply producing his work, primarily concentrating on raku. Bill's interests encompass woodfire, crystalline, pit, reduction, oxidation, and the various other branches of processes associated with raku. He is a member of the Foothills Craft Guild, Southern Highland Craft Guild, Tennessee Association of Craft Artists, and the Arts & Culture Alliance.
