David Alberts
Share:
David has a knack for turning hobbies into professions. Building prosthetics and braces at Thoms Rehab in Asheville, he developed the fine motor skills necessary for machinist work. While at Thoms, he helped local teams build race cars by specializing in sheet-metal work and aerodynamics. This led to a 30-year career. Since retiring, David has taught lapidary and casting classes as a volunteer teacher at the Haywood Community College Continuing Education Program, Tryon Arts & Crafts School, and the Mountain Metalsmiths School of Jewelry & Lapidary.
