Leah Dolgoy
Leah has a love of folk music that stems from childhood, when her father played Pete Seeger songs for her at bedtime. She grew up on the Canadian prairies and has called Montreal home for nearly 20 years. She has recorded and performed extensively in Canada, and more recently in the U.S. with Indie folksinger/songwriter, Corey Gulkin. Leah has appeared as a solo artist at the Montreal Folk Festival. She also incorporates music into her practice as an occupational therapist working in Cree communities in Northern Quebec. A two-term student host at the Folk School, she considers Appalachian old-time music to be her true love, and Brasstown a second home.
