Karen has been a color person and collector of glass since grade school. She started enameling over 40 years ago to incorporate these two passions into her jewelry and other work. Author of "The Art of Fine Enameling, Second Edition," Karen specializes in the cloisonné technique and prefers working with transparent colors on silver for their luminosity and depth. Karen is also a skilled beader with primary interest in bead embroidery. Although retired, she teaches both enameling and beading at various venues, and sells her work at shows and online.
