Lynnette is a full-time ceramic artist who received her MFA in ceramics from the University of Florida and an MS in education from Jacksonville State University. She taught art for 26 years, mostly at the university level, and has been awarded the Alabama State Council on the Arts Crafts Fellowship twice. Lynnette shares her studio with her husband, Steve Loucks, in Wellington, Alabama, creating her detail-oriented functional and sculptural work. She was the contributing editor for Steve’s new book, “Glazes from a Potter’s Perspective: A Simple, Kitchen-Method Approach to Understanding Glaze Development."
