Steve Hazlett
Share:
Steve handcrafts weathervanes, whirligigs, and trade signs, primarily from salvaged wood. Inspired by 19th-century rural folk artists, his creations evolve through his personal interpretation of the original object, based on historical information. His pieces have been displayed and sold at the American Folk Art Museum and through the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and for the past seven years, his work has been juried for inclusion in Early American Life's Directory of Traditional American Crafts. In 2008, Steve was inducted into the Country Living Guild.
