Carol has a Bachelor of Music in performance from East Carolina University and an MFA in Writing from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her book, "Behind the Cello," was published in 2012 by Main Street Rag; "Impossible Brightening," a book of poems, was published in 2015 by North Star Press; and her trilogy for young adults is published by Indigo Sea Press. Carol is also poetry editor of "Rapid River Magazine of Arts & Culture" in Asheville, NC. She has taught writing at The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis, the Reuter Center in Asheville, Wisdom Ways in St. Paul, and at the Folk School since 2014.
