Elizabeth received the 2012 Madeleine P. Plonsker Emerging Writer's Award for her novel, "Housebound" (&NOW Books/Northwestern University Press). Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, she received an MFA in fiction writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Elizabeth now lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, where she teaches for the University of Tennessee English Department.
