Georgia has been a leader in the quilt world for over 30 years. She is creator and host of "Lap Quilting," which began airing on North Carolina Public Television in 1979 and continues to air across the country today. She is the author of seven books, past president of the International Quilt Association, founding president of the Western North Carolina Quilters Guild, and recipient of the Silver Star Award. In 2003, Georgia was inducted into the Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion, Indiana.
