MY WISH LIST
Carol enjoys teaching sewing workshops that incorporate fine traditional Scandinavian textile skills with contemporary sewing craft. In her travels, she researches design, technique, and meaning embodied in Scandinavian folk textiles and clothing. Carol taught period clothing design, pattern making, sewing, and textile craft in universities before she began teaching focused heritage-sewing workshops in Telemark, Norway, and in the U.S. in many settings, including North House Folk School and Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum. Students in her workshops are immersed in cultural background, while creating custom garments that are ultimately practical for our lives today.
