Curtis Stewardson
Share:
Curtis is a ceramist and full-time studio artist in central Georgia. He received his BFA from Kansas City Art Institute and his MFA from Pennsylvania State University. He likes Georgia for the wealth of ceramic materials -- primary and secondary clays. Curtis's ceramic work begins with three-dimensional clay sketches. He uses press-molded components, with the addition of extruded parts, to create handsome sculptural trays and baskets that mimic stone and iron. His work can be seen at regional ceramic shows around the Southeast and on his website.
