Reba was introduced to barn quilts in 2004, when she discovered the Ohio Quilt Trails of Susan Groves. Reba soon had two barn quilts of her own hanging at her family farm. She began offering barn quilt painting classes in 2013, gathering techniques and old-school methods from a retired sign painter. Reba has established a significant following and is now teaching full-time in a variety of locations in several states. She has taught in wineries, community centers, tractor equipment sheds, fellowship halls, horse barns, and even an airplane hangar. Her classes cover technique as well as the history of barn quilts, in a relaxed and fun environment of discovery. When she is not painting or teaching, Reba is busy horseback riding, hiking in the mountains, traveling, or taking care of her crops in Davie County, North Carolina.
