Kate Martinson
Share:
Kate is an advocate for traditional fiber techniques, from spinning to papermaking and beyond. She has taught for decades at Luther College and the Vesterheim Museum in Decorah, Iowa, as well as at national conferences and at Rauland folk college in Norway. Her exploration of nålbinding began over 30 years ago as a Watson Fellow during a year’s study of traditional fiber techniques in Europe and Canada. It continues today as she tries to spread the word on this wonderful, versatile technique.
