Emily is a trained pastry chef who has worked in bakeries and restaurants for over 10 years. She has had the pleasure and experience of working with and learning from many notable chefs and food craftspeople, including some James Beard Award winners and nominees. Emily has been involved with special pop-ups, events, and classes in the Asheville, North Carolina area. She is also a longtime experimenter with traditional foodways; researcher and weblogger of culinary histories; and explorer of the relationship between people, food, and the earth.
