Brian King
Share:
Brian is a long time woodworker and craftsman, doing everything from creating furniture to building his own home. In 2018 John Monk introduced him to coppersmithing and he has been working in John’s shop on a regular basis ever since creating boxes, vases, picture frames and other metalwork. When John created the Copper Shaker Bandboxes, Brian worked alongside him replicating each step of the process and proofing the extensive documentation. In November 2019 Brian assisted John as a volunteer teacher for the first Shaker band box class at the Folk School. He continues creating new and different works in copper on a regular basis. Brian and his wife live on their farm in southeast Ohio and grow oak, hickory and cherry trees, and manage their bee hives. They also volunteer at their local church, Hospice, and Habitat for Humanity.
