Mark has worked stints as an executive chef and pastry chef in New Orleans, Asheville, Manhattan, and Chapel Hill. He began teaching full-time 16 years ago at the Arts Institute of Charlotte. Chef Zink currently teaches at the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach, where the student team he co-coached broke the record for the most medals awarded in a single American Culinary Federation Competition.
