Tyson Smith
Share:
Tyson retired from a long career as a pathologist and chief medical officer, moved to Townsend, Tennessee, and plunged into photography. Most of his personal work explores nature with an interest in macro subjects, probably based on whatever drew him to pathology. He also works as a second shooter with his wife, in her wedding and portrait business. Tyson has qualified as a certified professional photographer and earned the master photographer and craftsman photographer degrees from Professional Photographers of America. As a partner in the Smoky Mountain School of Photography, he started and runs "Smoky Mountain Journal of Photography." Tyson gives workshops in the Smoky Mountain area and also teaches several courses in the University of Tennessee's non-credit Photography program.
