Mi-Sook is an award-winning enamelist and metalsmith whose work focuses on realistic images inspired by nature. In her enamel works, she explores modern studies of Limoges techniques. Most recently, she wrote a chapter about her painterly techniques in The Art of Fine Enameling by Karen Cohen. She is a former artist-in-residence at John Michael Kohler Arts Center and at the Jentel Foundation. Hur earned her BFA from Seoul National University, Korea, and her MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a professor at the School of Art and Design at East Carolina University.
