Amy has a masters degree from North Carolina State University in Landscape Architecture, and has worked both as a professional gardener and registered Landscape Architect for 30 years. Her work at Sitework Studios in Asheville NC over the past 11 years, includes the design and implementation of complex gardens including at the Biltmore Estate's Walled Garden, public parks, botanical garden master plans, and residential gardens. She is an experienced public speaker and garden writer. Her volunteer work includes the Speaking of Gardening Symposium, the Bee City USA task force, Bullington Gardens, and Asheville Greenworks. She enjoys hiking to see wildflowers and mushrooms, and gardens on her own family homestead in Marshall, NC.
