Richard , a member of The SeatWeavers' Guild, Inc., operates his own chair caning and weaving shop southwest of Atlanta. He originally learned this craft at the Folk School and has returned several times to study under top instructors to sharpen his skills and knowledge. Caning and cane art are the heart of his work, which includes refinishing and restoring antique, primitive, and vintage chairs, stools, and benches, sold in antique shops and at juried craft shows. Richard finds immense enjoyment in teaching and demonstrating chair seat restoration. Find him on Facebook at www.facebook.com/RichardsChairSeatschairCaningAndSeatweaving.
