Brian Simmons
Share:
Brian was woodworking before he could see over the workbench. By age 15, he discovered the lathe’s exciting possibilities and went on to study with world-renowned woodturners. From his shop in Des Moines, IA Brian spends most of his time making reproduction and architectural turnings but does produce gift items and one-of-a-kind pieces as needed. He writes articles for woodworking publications, is the woodturning consultant for WOOD Magazine, and teaches his craft across the country. Brian's fundamental approach to turning stresses understanding a process and why it may or may not be employed.
