Larry Unger
Larry has played guitar, banjo, and bass with many of the top contra dance bands, as well as with traditional blues artists like Etta Baker. He has written more than 5,000 fiddle tunes, many of which have been recorded by bands worldwide, from Alaska to Zimbabwe, and have been used in several Ken Burns' PBS television specials. Larry teaches guitar and old-time banjo at the Music Emporium in Lexington, Massachusetts, and has given workshops at camps and festivals throughout the country and internationally, including in Afghanistan, Israel, Denmark, France, and the U.K.
