Marsha Harris
Share:
Marsha resides in Morehead City, North Carolina. She plays mountain, Galax and bowed dulcimers, Native American flute and fiddle in a variety of genres, including old-time, Celtic, World, contemporary, and original compositions. Marsha played the mountain dulcimer prior to attending various dulcimer workshops and is skilled at playing by hear. Playing and teaching have led her to travel extensively around the country, and her teaching style is described as easygoing and patient. She has received numerous awards at fiddle festivals in NC, VA and WV, for her dulcimer playing and received awards in instrumental and vocal competitions at the North Carolina State Fair Folk Festival. Her first album, "A Nice Combination," shows her musical diversity and includes original compositions along with old standards. “Life Connections” is her solo Native American flute CD of original compositions.
