Eileen Hallman
Share:
Eileen has been spinning cotton since the early 1980s. After 11 years of spinning and plying, she realized that plying was not mandatory. She has been weaving textured fabrics with singles yarn ever since. With the help of an expert shuttle maker, Eileen developed a shuttle to hold the spindle from the charkha she spins on, eliminating the need to transfer yarn from spindle to bobbin. She has also delved into color control, and knitters inspired her to develop a simple system for making knitting yarns with charkha-spun cotton.
