Louise started sewing as a child and has been making, demonstrating, and teaching quiltmaking since the early 1970s. Her work has toured nationally with the Hoffman Challenge and Miniature Quilts. Louise presently teaches quiltmaking at Tri-County Community College in Murphy, NC. Her first love is traditional hand quilting, but she keeps up with the latest techniques, newest gadgets, and problem solving.
