Walt is a full-time professional blacksmith specializing in architectural work. He began operating Walt Hull Iron Work in 1982 and took it full-time in 1994. He is a member of the Artist-Blacksmith's Association of North America (ABANA), the Blacksmith Association of Missouri, the British Artist Blacksmiths Association (BABA), and the National Ornamental Metals Museum. His work has appeared in "The Anvil's Ring," "Artist Blacksmith," and Meilach's "Architectural Ironwork." Walt has taught blacksmithing at the University of Kansas and for the Folk School since 2005.
