Mary Lou loves food and travel in equal proportions. From her first Peace Corps service in Southeast Asia 40 years ago, to her latest two years in Albania, her passion for learning about cultures through food has opened doors to kitchens around the world. After eating and learning, Mary Lou loves sharing. She believes that teaching, cooking, and eating together is the best way to nurture conversations that further understanding and goodwill. In her spare time, she graduated from culinary school, and helped dozens of small food businesses get started and flourish in a shared-use commercial kitchen in Asheville, NC
