Ron Ron Nichols started blacksmithing in the early '90s, and has been especially active since 2003. He focuses on traditional joinery work and 14th-century chasing and repoussé. He is a member of numerous blacksmith organizations and is President of Rutherford County Blacksmith Association where he teaches weekly Green Coal classes. Ron's passion is teaching beginning blacksmithing and passing on the craft. He has led classes, workshops, or demonstrations at John C. Campbell Folk School (Murphy NC), New York State Designer Blacksmiths (Corning NY), Artist Blacksmith Association of North America (various conferences), the Snap-On Tools Convention at Gaylord Opryland (Nashville TN), his personal forge in Brentwood TN, and numerous other forges across Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi.
