Ron started blacksmithing in the early '90s and has been especially active since 2003. He enjoys all aspects of blacksmithing, with a focus on traditional joinery work and 14th-century chasing and repoussé. He is a member of ABANA, the Appalachian Area Chapter of Blacksmiths, and the Alabama Forge Council. Ron's passion is teaching and passing on the craft. He has demonstrated at many events and has led classes and workshops for the Rutherford County Blacksmiths Assoc. (Murfreesboro, TN); the Fiddlers Grove Blacksmith Assoc. (Lebanon, TN); New York State Designer Blacksmiths (Corning, NY); the Folk School since 2013; and at his personal forge in Brentwood, TN.
