Ken Weaver
Share:
Ken remembers his first papier mâché creation from first grade - a ball made around an orange with rolled up legs, snout, ears and tail - a pig, painted pink. In high school, he used papier mâché to create body cells for a science display. Ken has continued to work in the craft, helping his own children make forms for different occasions. After earning degrees in architecture and fine arts and obtaining a specialist degree in middle school certification, Ken has taught paper mâché projects in every class. When he moved to the high school setting, he taught his students how to create animals and figures. Following retirement, Ken completed a 3-year project creating over 40 papier mâché works of are which were included in his display at the American Craft Council Atlanta expo.
