Faye was raised an “Army brat” and spent many of her childhood days on the family dairy farm and in her grandfather’s drugstore. Her work experiences are varied: teacher, university administrator, musician, bear trapper, herbalist, pet-therapy volunteer, author, hiker, and student of nature. Faye is a performing member of the Jonesborough Storytellers Guild and holds a master’s degree in storytelling from East Tennessee State University. She tells stories, directs festivals, and teaches storytelling workshops at many various events.
