Pepper fell in love with quilts in 1972 when she bought an antique quilt at a rummage sale for $1. She proceeded to seek out every quiltmaker she could find to teach her the art, becoming a professional quilter in 1975. An avid collector since that first quilt, she has written seven books and articles for numerous quilt publications, and she teaches and lectures in the U.S. and internationally. She also designs print fabrics, stencils, and sewing/needlework notions. Visit her website and read her blogs, "Pepper at the Quilt Studio" (http://peppercory.blogspot.com/), regarding teaching and life observations, and "Quilt Flap" (http://quiltflapper.blogspot.com/), dedicated to vintage and antique quilts.
