Share:
Elizabeth grew up in the Appalachian Mountains in a family of storytellers. As a child, most of her close friends were imaginary -- that's still true. Elizabeth has captivated many thousands of children and adults with her tales at schools and festivals around the country in her 41-year career as a storyteller. She is a favorite at the National Storytelling Festival, and renowned for telling stories from her family. She is also author of "From Plot to Narrative" and co-author, with Loren Niemi, of "Inviting the Wolf In: Thinking about Difficult Stories." Her new book "Prepare to Scare" will be released in the fall. She is a recipient of both the Circle of Excellence and Lifetime Achievement Awards from the National Storytelling Network. A sought-after teacher of workshops and classes, she lives in Dallas, Texas.
