Nesting Melon Baskets Date: Friday, Apr 24 - Sunday, Apr 26, 2020 Subject: Basketry Instructor: Bev Larson Share: Experience rib basketry by spending a weekend weaving melon baskets that nest inside each other. Working with oak hoops and dyed & natural reed, learn to weave "God's eyes" where the handle and rim meet, cut and insert ribs, and weave nicely rounded baskets. Three sizes will be offered with color options. Experienced students will complete all three; beginners should finish two, plus leave with materials and knowledge to complete the third and continue weaving on their own.
