Use up fabric scraps or bring brand new fabric - perhaps in holiday colors for decorations or gifts. Learn the motion of wrapping fabric around cotton clothesline, then wind into a spiral and stitch to build the shape. Project ideas include round, oval, or square baskets of varying depths, with handles or covers if desired. Students looking for another option can also create placemats.
