Sing 'Til the Work's All Done Date: Sunday, Dec 5 - Saturday, Dec 11, 2021 Subject: Spinning, Dyeing, Weaving Instructor: Melissa Weaver Dunning, Martha Owen Share: High wheel, low wheel, dye pots and weaving - make your own historic cloth for a warm future! Explore the gifts of wool as we work our way from start to finish. Students with some spinning experience will revisit hand carding and other styles of fiber prep as we recreate old timey fabrics: linsey woolsey, dyed in the wool, piece and yarn dyed plain weave fabric. Explore twist for singles for weft, for warp, or socks! Expect to sing (and tell stories) 'til the work's all done.
