Have fun exploring the art of glass beadmaking! Cover the basics of making well-centered beads, then move on to surface decorations including dots, flowers, organics, and more. You'll learn the safe way to work with molten glass and open flame as you bring your beads to life. This class is designed for beginners, but advanced-beginners and self-taught folks are welcome to enhance their skills. PLEASE NOTE: This class is for 12-17 year olds to attend with a parent, grandparent, or guardian -- 1 youth per 1 adult. IF VIEWING THIS CLASS ONLINE, we ask that you call the office to register at 1-800-365-5724 (Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST.) Youths will receive a $100 discount on tuition.

WITHDRAWAL AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Because of registration costs and other services, including faculty contracts, material acquisitions and housing arrangements, the Folk School is required to charge cancellation fees to students who change their itineraries.
  • Once students are accepted into a class, our cancellation policies apply, regardless of the reason for canceling.
  • Cancellation of enrollment more than 30 days prior to the first day of class results in a cancellation fee of 50% of the deposit.
  • Cancellation of enrollment within 30 days of the first day of class results in a cancellation fee of 100% of the deposit.
  • No tuition, deposit, housing or meals refunds will be made after the start date of a class.
  • Registrations are not transferable.
  • Students who cancel their enrollment in a class to transfer to another class are charged the cancellation fee, plus the deposit for the class to which they wish to transfer.
